My Washington State Electoral Protest Flag
You may recall that there were a few questions surrounding the balloting in our 2004 gubernatorial contest (for more details, see, for example, Sound Politics). Some of the people involved in the protesting recommended dressing in orange at pro-revote rallies or displaying (inevitably) an orange ribbon on your car. Orange, of course, is a nod to the electoral protest in Ukraine that kept the government-sponsored candidate, Viktor Yanukovych, from stealing the election from the reform candidate Viktor Yushchenko.
If I had gotten involved in the effort to prevent the government-sponsored candidate Christine Gregoire from stealing the election from the reform candidate Dino Rossi, this is the flag I would have carried (image based, once again on the one by Mario Fabretto on the FOTW Flags of the World web site):
